Ghost Kitchens Acquires Speak Burgers To Strengthen Premium Food Delivery Folio
Ghost Kitchens, a cloud kitchen incubator in India, has acquired gourmet cloud kitchen startup Speak Burgers for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will allow Ghost Kitchens to expand into the premium segment with high spending power. The move aligns with its vision to create a basket of premium food delivery brands that operate on Swiggy and Zomato. As part of the deal, celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani, who owns Speak Burgers, will join Ghost Kitchens as a chief culinary officer and co-founder. The company plans to launch three new brands in partnership with Ratnani. Ghost Kitchens aims to add 400 fulfillment partners over the next three years and scale its offerings to more than 4,000 internet restaurants in the next year, targeting an annual run rate of INR 500 Cr by 2024-end. The Indian cloud kitchen market is projected to grow to $2 Bn by 2024.
