MDI Ventures leads Series A round in growing online food delivery market
Indonesian cloud kitchen startup Legit Group has raised $13.7 million in a Series A funding round led by MDI Ventures and participated in by Sinar Mas Digital Ventures (SMDV), East Ventures, and Winter Capital. Legit Group raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by East Ventures in September 2021. The company will use the new funds to expand its business outside Greater Jakarta. Legit Group runs a full cloud kitchen business model and has no offline presence. The company operates four food and beverage brands and has over 30 locations, mainly in Jakarta. The company has seen strong traction since its seed funding round, with sales surging threefold. Legit’s innovative product and marketing strategies are expected to give the company a competitive advantage in the cloud kitchen market.
