Grab and Foodpanda Dive into Dine-In Services Amid Slowing Delivery Growth
Singapore-based food delivery giants Grab and Foodpanda are venturing into the dine-in sector as consumers increasingly prefer eating out in the post-pandemic era. Grab is piloting its dine-in feature in 15 cities across Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, offering users the chance to pre-purchase vouchers with up to 50% discounts. The platform also integrates features like viewing restaurant menus, ordering via QR codes, and even booking rides to eateries. Meanwhile, Foodpanda introduced its dine-in services in 2021 and has since expanded to several countries, partnering with over 8,000 restaurants. This shift comes as the explosive growth of food delivery shows signs of slowing down, with consumers returning to dine-in habits.
