Remote working has become a significant trend, but trust issues seem to be emerging. According to a report by Cisco on hybrid working, while employees view themselves as reliable in a remote setting, they are less confident about their colleagues’ productivity. In a survey involving 1,050 UK employees, 75% felt their managers trusted them to work productively from home. However, only 61% believed their peers could be trusted to do the same. Additionally, 43% of the participants felt that micromanagement increased in remote or hybrid work settings. Despite these challenges, the report highlighted the numerous benefits of hybrid working, such as improved well-being, with 79% stating that the flexibility made them happier. Moreover, 57% believed their work quality and productivity had enhanced.
